SS 304 Valves

Stainless steel is a worldwide used material. It has many properties. Some are mentioned below:

  • Corrosion resistance is ensured by an invisible protective chromium oxide film that forms on the steel surface when exposed to oxygen in the environment. Even in physical or chemical damage to the steel surface, the protective film quickly recovers after the source of the damage is removed from the steel surface.

As a result, stainless steel does not require any coating or other corrosion protection. With proper care, the material retains a shiny and bright surface even after prolonged use.

  • Inert to various media and completely non-toxic. The stainless steel surface does not absorb nutrients with which it comes into contact. Its hard and smooth surface is perfectly and easily cleaned materials. Thus, the surface of this steel meets high hygiene requirements.
  • Practical, aesthetic and durable. The physical properties of stainless steel make it easy to produce cost-effective and easy-care products in a variety of designs and shapes. Steel products are strong and durable, resistant to wear and tear and environmental influences.

However, to maintain the steel surface in good condition (aesthetically pleasing and corrosion-resistant), some maintenance and cleaning processes must be carried out periodically.

Initial cleaning of stainless steel surfaces

A protective SS 304 Valves cover the surface. However, due to prolonged exposure to UV rays, the Inconel 600 Pipe change’s properties and the adhesive sticks too much to the stainless steel, so it becomes difficult to remove the remaining film. Therefore, it is recommended to immediately remove the protective films when they are no longer needed.

If the products are already installed without a protective plastic film, it is advisable to avoid the formation of dirt. In particular, keep them covered and install only after performing other work that could lead to the appearance of dirt.

Daily cleaners and cleaning frequencies

Suitable cleaning agents are available from specialized surface care companies.  Sources of oxidation, fingerprints and other stains can be removed from steel product with soapy water or a special mild detergent and soft-surfaced material or suede. It is best to use spray cleaners, which facilitate cleaning by evenly spraying a cleaner’s thin layer. These cleaners remove fingerprints and other small contaminants and reduce the possibility of their subsequent formation.

For tougher-to-clean stains, use nylon materials and specialty stainless steel cleaners to remove scale and rust. Household cream cleaners can also be used. They can also be used to remove traces of water leaks and irregularities in light reflection. After cleaning, remove any cleaning agent residue with distilled water and dry to remove any water leakage traces.

For the most difficult to remove stains, stainless steel surface cleaners containing phosphoric acid are used. After use, residues of cleaners are removed with distilled water or a high-pressure water jet, and, if possible, the surface is dried.

In pitting corrosion, special cleaning agents or mechanical cleaning are used to reconstruct the surface. When using these products, the manufacturer’s instructions must be followed to ensure the safety of workers and the protection of the environment.
